Billy Derringer is one of our assistant coaches as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Billy also received his USAW Level 2 Advanced Sports Performance Coach certification in June 2016. He is a recent college graduate from Wright State University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Sports Science. Before transferring to Wright State, Billy played linebacker for the University of Findlay for a couple years which is where he developed a passion for strength and conditioning. He’s a Miamisburg High School grad and also trained at Renegade while he was playing football so he’s one of our own. Billy is still an athlete as a competitive weightlifter in the 105kg weight class. He most recently qualified for and competed at University Nationals in Baton Rouge Louisiana in September 2016 where he set a new Personal Best Meet Total of 275kg (125/150). He is a valued member of our community as a very good young coach and Renegade Barbell Club athlete. Above and beyond all of this; Billy became a father in August 2015. His son Jaysen is already taking after dad lifting anything he can get his hands on. Despite all his accomplishments, seeing Billy become a great dad makes us most proud and we’re glad to have him on staff.

Josh Cook is one of our assistant coaches as a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. Josh is also an ACE® Certified Personal Trainer. He is a Fairmont High School grad and is also currently working towards a degree in Organizational Leadership at Wright State University. Josh brings to our staff a wealth of knowledge and expertise that he’s gained in almost 7 years of training athletes. He has a passion for helping people and enjoys working with them to achieve their goals. Along with coaching group classes, Josh has gained valuable experience personal training and he specializes in creating safe, yet effective strength and conditioning programs for people of all ages and fitness levels. He prides himself on his ability to bring the best out of people while delivering strong guidance for nutrition, mobility, injury prevention, and overall quality of life. Aside from helping others reach their goals, Josh also loves to challenge himself on his own fitness journey. He also enjoys spending his free time outdoors, hiking, camping, fishing, and spending time with his family. Josh and his wife JennaRae recently had a baby boy named Jace Gunner Cook. They both feel blessed beyond belief and are very excited to see what great memories the future holds.

Chelsea Muncy is one of our co-owners and head coach as a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. She’s been active and around sports her whole life playing soccer, softball, basketball, as well as competing in track & field growing up. In high school she was a student trainer in the fall, played varsity basketball in the winter, and specialized in relays, hurdles, and long jump on the track in the spring. While attending the University of Dayton she played on the women’s club basketball team while also holding a position as student manager of the Flyer’s varsity women’s basketball team. She graduated from UD in the Spring of 2012 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Allied Professions (Pre-Physical Therapy) and started training in CrossFit soon after. She has a lot of experience and knowledge in sports medicine, physical therapy, and nutrition to pass on to our clients. She’s currently furthering her education working towards her Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) degree. Chelsea enjoys camping, hiking, wakeboarding, and spending time with family in her spare time.

Nick Fayette is an intern assisting all of our coaches with our Sports Performance, CrossFit, and Olympic Weightlifting groups. He’s a Centerville High School grad currently enrolled at Sinclair Community College with plans to transfer schools to study exercise science. Nick has been one of our athletes since his freshman year of high school so he’s experienced with how we do things and is always able to a lend a hand. Most importantly, Nick is a personable guy with a big heart who people instantly like. In his spare time you can catch him wakeboarding with his family or making Christian rap music.

Matt Muncy is the founder and co-owner of our business as a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer. He’s also a certified Level 1 Sports Performance Coach from USAW as well as a former CSCS from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Before all of that he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Ohio University and played football for the Bobcats. Matt’s passionate about training athletes and has years of experience as an elite athlete and coach.
